About Nolan
I’ve always been drawn to moments of uncertainty.
The in-between phases when the old playbook stops working, the ground shifts, and everyone knows something needs to change, but the language hasn’t caught up yet.
That’s where I do my best work.

Why I do this
I’m passionate about stories that last. Films, books, series, worlds that stay with people.
I’m a writer, aspiring filmmaker, journalist, and photographer at heart. Story comes first. Format follows. Whatever moves people, makes them feel something, or changes how they see the world, that’s the right medium.
I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of creativity and technology, using new tools and platforms to help stories travel further and land with more impact, without ever losing sight of why they matter.
Using story to create meaning, belief, and momentum is the throughline in everything I do.
How I lead
I care deeply about people as individuals.
I take the time to understand what drives them, where they want to grow, and what support helps them do their best work. I love pouring into people and helping them become more confident, capable versions of themselves.
My role as a leader is to create an environment where it’s safe to take smart risks, try things, and show up fully. When people feel trusted and supported, they bring their best selves to the work—and the work gets better.
That’s the kind of culture I work to build, and the standard I hold myself to as a leader.

The human side
I’m the oldest of three boys, which probably explains more about me than any résumé ever could.
Family has always been my center of gravity—and I take that role seriously, whether it’s as a husband, a dad, a son, a brother, or an uncle to a crew of nieces and nephews I adore.
I’ve lived in North Carolina for over 30 years. I love the beach, Duke basketball, and the kind of moments that slow everything down and put things back in perspective.
I’m a proud dad to a son and a daughter, a lifelong nerd, and the very willing sidekick to a cat named Eva, who has a habit of wandering into whatever creative work I’m doing.
